RustDesk Relay — themilkfridge

Self-hosted RustDesk ID/relay server (hbbs/hbbr, OSS) for the household fleet. Relay traffic is LAN / Tailscale only — there is no public internet relay. Clients not on the home LAN reach the relay through the Tailscale network, which every household machine already runs. This page is the config reference only.

Client configuration

Install RustDesk, open Settings → Network → Unlock Network Settings, and set:

Home-LAN clients may instead use 192.168.50.41 for ID/relay with the same key. Off-LAN access requires the client to be on the tailnet (tail9e8dfb.ts.net) — that is the tunnel; no ports are forwarded to the internet for this service.
